Lab Assessment Services linksYour blood type is the key to your immune system. It controls viruses, infections, bacteria, chemicals, stress, and other invaders and conditions that would compromise your system. The immune system functions as to define you, and destroy anything else. This function is crucial, for without it your immune system would attack your own tissues by mistake or allow dangerous organism access to vital areas of your body. When your blood type antigens pick up a foreign antigen entering your system, it immediately creates antibodies to attack the foreign antigen. It could be antigens from a virus, bacteria or even parasites but a reaction called agglutination takes place.

Besides the effect that antigens and agglutination has on our health, there is a scientific link with blood types and our diet. There is a chemical reaction between your blood and the foods you eat. This is due to your genetic inheritance. It is also true because of a factor called lectins. Lectins, that are proteins found in foods, have agglutinating properties that affect your blood. They will ‘glue’ themselves to other organisms in your body.

Say for example, you eat a food that contains protein lectins that are incompatible with your blood type antigen. The lectins will target an organ or bodily system (kidneys, liver, brain, stomach, etc.) and begin to ‘glue’ or agglutinate cells in that area. Once the intact lectin protein settles someplace in your body, a clumping of cells begins which creates the destruction process. If located in the intestines, then irritable bowel syndrome is experienced, if in the liver, then cirrhosis and the list goes on.

Blood type testing allows you to understand which foods are right for your type and which foods cause antigenic reactions and subsequent agglutination which significantly impairs the body’s optimal performance. The test requires only a few drops of blood that quickly (approx. 10 minutes) and easily determines your blood type, Genotype, or secretor status – all without trips to the doctor, waiting weeks for test results, or expensive lab fees.
